History of OneOff, Inc.
The first One-Off CD Shop was opened in 1992 by The One-Off CD Shops Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The One-Off
CD Shops network was conceived as a network of optical media service centers. Initially the Shops spanned across North America, with Shops in Huntsville, Alabama and Vancouver, Canada. However, the interest generated by this concept in the business community exceeded expectations. Soon there were more Shops in the United States and Canada.
In 1993, The Duplication Group of Salt Lake City, Utah entered into a License Agreement and became a Licensee in
The One-Off CD Shop network. The One-Off CD Shops network affiliation provided them with the opportunity to speed
up the learning curve with regard to CD-R and CD premastering, an important and critical step in their newly acquired
CD replication facility.
As a result of the successful relationship with the One-Off CD Shop network, the shareholders of The Duplication
Group decided in August of 1994 to enter into a Purchase Agreement with The One-Off CD Shops Inc., of Calgary.
They agreed to acquire the business trademarks, Licensee contracts, other assets and intellectual property owned
by The One-Off CD Shops Inc. A new company, The One-Off CD Shops International, Inc., was incorporated in Utah
.
Because the Company now provides services in CD, DVD and the Internet, The One-Off CD Shops International changed it's name to OneOff, Inc. in 1999.
