Acceptable Input Media
CD-Audio:
Pre-Mastering or One-Off service of 100% Red Book compliant audio CDs on Sonic Solutions Digital Editing Workstation.
Sources accepted: 44.1K Audio DAT is preferred.
48K DAT and other sample rate DATS acceptable (we do sample rate conversion).
Any other source acceptable for cassette mastering.
We will allow use of our Digital Editing facilities on an hourly basis ($65.00/hr).
CD-ROM:
Pre-Mastering or One-Off service of DOS, Windows, Macintosh (HFS), and/or ISO9660 file system discs. Other native
system file discs (UNIX,VMS etc.)
Hybrid discs (more than one type of file system on the CD) DOS/Mac.
Mixed Mode discs (both Red Book audio and ROM on one disc).
Sources accepted:
- Jaz or Zip Cartridges
- CD-R, CD-RW, CD-XG, DVD-R or DVD
- External SCSI Hard Drive
- Internal Hard Drive (client drops off CPU)
- Bernoulli Cartridges (up to 150 MB cartridge)
- Syquest Cartridge (up to 80 MB cartridge)
- 8mm (Exabyte) tape - no hardware compression
- 4mm (DAT) tape - no hardware compression (recommended)
- QIC-80 (QIC-40) Colorado Jumbo tape cartridge
- Any client supplied SCSI-2 compliant device (Magneto Optical, other tape or removable cartridge drive etc.
- If you want to supply data already formatted into CD sectors, we can accept the following formats: MODE 1,
MODE 2, CD-I, CD-I Ready, CD-XA, CD-DA and CD-I Bridge, CD+G, PhotoCD (If formatted correctly)
When supplying us with a complete disc image specify the total block count and what software was used to process
it. The preferred transfer media for a complete disc image is an ANSI labeled Exabyte 8mm or a CD-R disc. Most
Compact Disc formatting software available today supports these formats.
Information supplied on tape must be accompanied by a copy of the software and any index files used to make
the tape in order to ensure we can upload the data from the tape.
Use only new tapes of good quality. Previously used tapes can cause data integrity problems.
